This mod replaces cattleman revolver with navy revolver’s name, weapon icon, etc. This is for who want to use navy revolver with the mods which are not compatible with red dead offline. You can still use Flaco’s Revolver, Granger’s Revolver as original Cattleman Revolver since those guns are not changed.
Attention This mod doesn’t include the weapon model. You can get it by downloading Another Navy Revolver Mod or Colt Navy Fully Replaces Cattleman by based88pilot. Thanks to his amazing work.

1. Adds a new ammo type: Volatile for Explosive Rifle. It has the same damage as the Volatile Dynamite.

1. Improved compatibility with WhyEm’s DLC. Remember to remove weaponarchetypes.meta, weapons.ymt and weaponcomponents.ymt under 2845677 folder from that mod before installing this version. 2. Navy retextured. The missing “Dukes” logo on the cylinder is back.
3. Fixes the incorrect engraving on Navy.
4. Better visual effect on Navy, including smoke on cylinder when firing. Also the percussion caps now will disappear after firing (In previous versions they will stay on the cylinder unless changing ammo types.)
5. New appearances for Midnight’s Pistol and Otis’ Revolver.
6. Fix a bug which would make Rolling Block and Explosive Rifle look weird in first person.
7. Explosive and Elephant Rifle’s ammo types reworked.
Nitro Express: Originally Shotgun Slug ammo.
ER Incendiary: Originally High Velocity rifle ammo.
ER Explosive: Originally Express repeater ammo.
High Explosive: Originally Express rifle ammo.
Each ammo type has its own icon.
8. Slightly increases the reload speed (1.25x) of Springfield, Rolling Block and Explosive Rifle.
V1.8 Update:
NO MORE Online Content Unlocker or Version.dll! This version completely gets rid of them! I did this by only unlocking the necessary online files, so this mod should be less glitchy than Online Content Unlocker or Version.dll.
V1.6 update:
1.Add toggle scope option for all sniper rifles.
2.Rare Rolling Block renamed to Explosive Rifle from RDR1. I also modified the ammo of it: Regular (Unchanged), High Velocity (Incendiary), Split point (High Explosive, rifle with this ammo is as powerful as a cannon!), Express (Explosive, just like vanilla explosive ammo.). Now this rifle should be very OP, use with caution! Other rifles are not changed.
3.I have uploaded a weapons.ymt without online weapon sound. If you don’t use online content unlocker or version.dll, download that file and overwrite the weapons.ymt in the main file with that one. It has all the features from main file except online weapon sound. The optional file is for version 1.6.
4.Restore John’s Lancaster Repeater (Not replace). I don’t understand why Rockstar don’t let John use his own weapon, not to mention this weapon is fully functional for player unlike other companion weapons. Open Rampage Trainer > “Weapon” > “Manage weapons” > “give custom” and type “weapon_repeater_winchester_john” to get the repeater.
V1.3 update:
Replace Double barrel shotgun with Elephant rifle’s catalog page, name, icon, audio. Recommend using slug ammo for better experience. The mod already contains the model file for it, so you don’t have to get the model elsewhere.
Note:
1.I tweak the damage of slug ammo of Double Barrel in weapons.ymt to match the power of the Real Elephant Rifle in online. As far as I know npc don’t use special ammo, so don’t worry about being shot by this ammo. Slug of other shotguns are not changed.
2.Rare and Double Barrel shares the same weapon icon so Rare will also have elephant’s icon.
3.I only replace the short barrel because Rare Shotgun uses the longer one. Changing the long barrel will also make Rare Shotgun become Elephant.
4.I didn’t remove the hammers because removing them will make Rare Shotgun looks broken. Double Barrel and Rare use same assets so I have to make changes carefully.
V1.2 update:
I managed to replace the catalog page, now you’ll see Navy Revolver instead of Cattleman when browsing Gunsmith catalog.

1.Now cattleman uses navy’s gunshot. I did this by editing weapons.ymt based on C.E.R.R. (a euphoria mod by AnymYo) which means it’s compatible with C.E.R.R. Thanks AnymYo for the awesome ragdoll mod and the kindness for letting others merge his assets. Requires Online Content Unlocker or the game will not load Navy’s audio.
2.Compendium description changed. I’ll try to change icon and photo in the next update.
Installation: drag & drop the 2 folders into lml folder.
Known issue:
1.Weapon icon is slightly bigger than vanilla one so it might not be fully displayed when dual wielding.

You can still download this V1.5 old file if you don’t like the changes I made in V1.6. Now compendium images are all replaced. You can enjoy the compendium pages of the weapons I added!

This is a tutorial to fix weapon icon glitch. Finally I figure out how to fix this bug. Now Rare Shotgun and Elephant Rifle will not use the same icon. 🙂
