Tweaks movement speeds and jump heights to be slightly more realistic. Moving around doesn’t feel like your character is using roller blades any more!
This is a (very) simple mod which tweaks the character’s movement speeds to my taste.
Having played Starfield for a short while now, I can’t help but feel a little bit silly when running around cities and settlements. It feels like the player character is in a constant sprint to get around. This isn’t such an issue when playing with a controller, since you have a little bit more control over how fast you move. However, having moved to PC recently, the maxed out movement speed when using WASD just feels a little too fast.
The jump height also feels like this; even in places where gravity is low, the jump height just feels like a little too much. Many find this style of gameplay fun, however it just feels a little bit exaggerated to me. I’ve tweaked the jump multiplier so that this effect isn’t as exaggerated, and the game feels so much better now.
How do I use this mod?
You will need Console Command Runner. Download the release updated for the current game version from here. The original mod author may update the original mod at some point however!
Once you have that installed, simply install this mod via Vortex or MO2. Simples!
