Red Dead Realism V1.0.1

Red Dead Realism V1.0.1

This game is massive, and one of its big issues seems to be with realism. So I’ve created a mod to fix that! Here’s a list of all the things I’ve changed:

Gangs
-One of the most glaring issues are the gangs. Sure, there were gangs in the Wild West but they only really consisted of a maximum of fifteen people. Colm’s gang has hundreds of thousands of members, and it’s the same deal with just about every other gang which just doesn’t feel right. And some gangs are just downright not realistic at all. So, I’ve deleted them altogether save for a few members; albeit keeping some of the individual criminals who seem unaffiliated, Micah’s gang, the Van der Linde gang, and the mob. I’m not sure how this might affect missions but hopefully it doesn’t crash anything. Do keep in mind this mod is mostly intended for free roam!

Dresswear
-This one is more of a cosmetic issue but the Klan didn’t have their stereotypical uniform until the earlier parts of the 20th century, so I’ve removed them altogether.
-I’ve pretty much left every other NPC’s clothing alone, though I plan to possibly remove stuff like the cowboy hats from a bunch of them in the future.

Props
-There are a bunch of pallet models in the game with holes for a forklift, so I’ve removed as many as I could (this was more difficult than it should’ve been so there’s quite a few left).

Miscellaneous
-I’ve also deleted a few paranormal encounters: The Vampire, Francis Sinclair (his belt loops are historically inaccurate anyways), and Agnes Dowd. A few of the ones I kept in such as the Witch’s Cauldron, Strange Man’s Shack, the Ghost Train (which reads more as Arthur hallucinating), ManBearPig, the alien drawings, and the Cave Giant could be logically explained; even in the real world. Unfortunately I couldn’t completely remove the UFOs, though experiencing them once will make them go away permanently and you aren’t likely to encounter them anyways if you’re not actively trying to.

Some horse breeds are also unrealistic, but for that I would recommend using a horse mod to change them. The same applies to guns as a few specific ones are historically inaccurate and you may want to change them. Same goes for player clothing, it can all be as historically accurate as you want it to be.

Do suggest more unrealistic stuff I could remove in the comments! When it comes to whether I consider it unrealistic, I’m more interested in whether it could’ve happened rather than the likelihood of whether it did or not. Do keep in mind, this mod is more for removing stuff than adding to what’s already in the game. There’s a lot of great realism mods already on allmods.

Requires:
LML
Scripthook RDR2

Instalation:
Drop the LML folder in your game root

Here are some other realism mods I recommend:
Plot Armor (Makes you get shot significantly less)
Hunting Grounds (Changes the size of animals and makes them spawn less as you hunt more)
Remove Bullet Trail (Gets rid of those pesky bullet trails that aren’t realistic at all)
Ambient Horses (Makes horses way more varied and realistic)
Realistic Loadouts (Changes NPC weapons to be more realistic)
No auto ammo pickup (Makes it so you have to actually pick up ammo)
Real Life Weapon Names (Changes weapon names into their real-life counterparts)
Crime and Law Rebalance (Makes the law slightly more realistic, and you won’t get massacred over a minor crime)
Realistic Navigation (No more GPS system)
Just Fucking Bleed Already (Makes it so NPCs bleed out when shot in their vitals)
No Glowing Objects or Pickups (Removes that glow on items or hats)
