Early Game Weapons Empowered V0.4

It often bothers me that many early game weapons do artificially lower damage than other guns.

Many of them are beatifully modeled. Some have interesting characteristics.

But I can’t have a good use of them because their damage curve phase out so quickly.

I wish they could do better damage.

Another problem is that the major hostile factions in game still use them randomly, even at higher levels.

More than often my character gets shot all over the place, but my health bar barely moves, because all those bullets happen to come from a early game gun, eg. Grendel, Kraken or Maelstrom. The outcome makes the pirate wielding it more of a joke than a threat. It’s just too bad for immersion. I think I have enough of it.

What does this do?

This mod streamlines damage for early game weapons, by editing their quality level omods, as well as adding the 4th quality level for weapons that don’t have them.

– Solstice: +40% energy damage for all quality levels.
– Sidestar: missing quality level 4 added.
– Rattler: missing quality level 4 added.
– Maelstrom: +160% damage for all quality levels.
– Lawgiver: +200% damage for all quality levels.
– Kraken: +200% damage for all quality levels.
– Grendel: +200% damage for all quality levels.
– Equinox: +90% energy damage for all quality levels, missing quality level 4 added.
– Eon: missing quality level 4 added.
– Drumbeat: +80% damage for all quality levels.
– Old Earth AK: +60% damage for all quality levels. Rate of fire set to 650 RPM for realism.

Installation

Install Nukem’s Plugins.txt Enabler and place LesserWeaponEmpowered.esm in your plugins.txt.

or

Extract in the usual way to the Data folder in your install path.

Then go to: \Documents\My Games\Starfield\

Open or create: StarfieldCustom.ini

And add the following lines:

sTestFile1=LesserWeaponEmpowered.esm

[Archive]
bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
sResourceDataDirsFinal=

Change the TestFile # to one that is not in use (1-10).

Uninstallation
Just remove the ESM from your plugins.txt or StarfieldCustom.ini, then delete the ESM.
